The trick is to escape immediately, if you are interested in visiting Mexico instead of "Wakikii with a foreign language." My friend, Marilyn, and I did and we drove to Puerto Morelos for the night. Only 12 miles south along Highway 307 from the glitzy resort, Pto. Morelos is a different world. We checked into Cabanas Pt. Morelos. Dinner was on the beach at Los Pelicanos where we both devoured the best lobster we had ever encountered while sitting under a three-story palapa. Our 10-day adventure had begun.
